Your text could be your name or a name of a loved one or it could be an adjective (i.e. Cool, Wild...etc), or it could be a short message (i.e. I love NY, Best Mom, Best Dad, Best Uncle...etc). Please don't use long text, if you do, you will see this warning Font size is too small, Try using a shorter text, so type any text you like until you see the warning to make sure that the text meets the embroidery guidelines

There are 3 types of embroidery; Flat Embroidery, 3D Puff (uses a foam insert under the top stitch to raise the surface, giving it a pop-out 3D look), and Partial 3D, which is a combination of both. The most common and the best type is flat embroidery and that's what we have used for all our embroidered hats collection

After extensive testing of 27 fonts we've decided to use the OpenSans Bold font for our embroidered hats because it is the most appealing font and works great with embroidery

Some Terms That You Will Encounter While Choosing Your Hat

5-Panel Hat

The word panel refers to the crown of the hat. 5-Panel hat is a hat crown that's divided into 5 parts/panels; 1 part on the front, 1 part on each side of the hat and 2 parts on the back, all divided by seams

6-Panel Hat

The word panel refers to the crown of the hat. 6-Panel hat is a hat crown that's divided into 6 parts/panels, 2 parts on the front, 1 part on each side, and 2 parts on the back, all divided by seams

Structured Hat

The crown of the hat has a buckram or a stiff fabric behind the front panel/s of the crown giving it structure and therefore it is called a structured hat. Another way to look at it is if you take a hat off your head and set it down on your desk, a structured hat will continue to look the same and keep its structure

Unstructured Hat

An unstructured hat has no additional support behind the front panel/s and it is the same all the way around the crown. Another way to look at it is if you take a hat off your head and set it down on your desk, an unstructured hat will collapse slightly without your head in the hat supporting it
